Networking as a career option for fresher graduates is a very good option. How it is different from Software or Programming domain? Networking is not a computer hardware related field. Not at all! If we talk about Networking, we are either discussing LAN or WAN. Keep LAN out of this topic as it is for undergraduates or for lower level jobs. When it comes to WAN, only name comes to my mind is Cisco!
Cisco Certification courses as a career option is best option to consider for fresher graduates. After Cisco Certifications, not only Btech, BE or BCA graduates are getting jobs, but even BA, Bcom candidates are also getting equal opportunities in this field, as 90% of Btech BE students choose programming or Software development as their career option and forgot that they are themselves creating competition. Remaining 10% students are coming in Networking, so there is very less competition for them in market.
Salaries offered to Network Engineers is better than salaries offered to a Software Developer, as per my opinion. After Cisco Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, CCNP Security or CCIE Security Version 4, future of a Networker will be secure as he has earned a Certification for World’s Biggest Networking company, Cisco! As CCIE Security Version 4.0 or CCIE R&S or CCIE Voice are best career options for fresher graduates. After successful completion of these Certifications students can expect 5-10 Lacs starting Packages, depending upon the program. As after CCIE R&S, a fresher can expect 5 Lacs Package salary, whereas after successful completion of CCIE Security 6-8 Lacs package can be expected and as CCIE Voice is highest level Certification in this domain and most respected one, candidates can expect 8-10 Lacs as starting package of their career, after successful completion of CCIE Voice Certification. Candidate must be graduate to get placement in MNC’s. Graduation stream is not a matter in this field, as BA, Bcom students are also getting jobs.

Amazing changes in Technologies and Devices. Nothing to worry, as New stuff is easy to cover but it will take this prestigious exam to a new height. CCIE Security Version 4 vs Version 3

What really aroused me today, to write on this topic?
Version 4 is a kind of fever on minds of CCIE Security aspirants. What exactly is going to happen after change in version?
They are confused and worrying unusually.

If you think it is going to be difficult to clear CCIE Security Lab exam after change in version. You are wrong!
What exactly is going to happen, after change in CCIE Security Version 4?
There will be some minor changes in Exam pattern and a few technologies will be added, which can easily be covered in a week or two. May be troubleshooting section will be added in it, officially. Now, why i used the term "Officially"? Because There was already a hidden role of troubleshooting in CCIE Security Lab exam, in Lab configuration section. Candidates were already going through Troubleshooting part in VPN's. What exactly is going to happen, if they implement Troubleshooting section in CCIE Security Lab exam? Nothing much!, they will just launch it officially. As it was already there in Configuration part, so there will be no major changes, which can stop you or hold you for a long time to clear your lab exam.
The day CCIE Security Version 4 will be launched. It will not take more than 2 Months, to prepare for it, if you were already prepared for Version 3. So what does it mean? It clearly means that, it will take 2 Months for you to upgrade yourself from version 3 to version 4.

But

As, if you were already prepared for version 3 and Cisco just launched version 4, just before your lab exam. You can still go and attempt your CCIE Security Version 3 exam. As CCIE Security Version 3 exam will still be there for next 6 Months. So, those who want to attempt or were preparing for version 3, can still attempt version 3 exam.
So there is nothing to worry for version 4 Lab exam.

Some Candidates are having a question in there mind, that
If they passed their CCIE Security Lab exam in version 3 and then Cisco launched version 4, will they be counted as outdated Engineers? Rubbish Question! If it was really so, then Scott Morris or Mark snow or other senior Gem CCIE's were also be counted as OUTDATED CCIE's! :-o
So, be bold engineers! Nothing as such is going to be changed in Version 4, which can stop you to achieve your dream.
