Finally Cisco introduced CCIE Security Version 4
Updated CCIE security Version 4, after Version 3 by Cisco
Amazing changes in Technologies and Devices. Nothing to worry, as New stuff is easy to cover but it will take this prestigious exam to a new height. As Cisco Systems was always unpredictable, but this is something which was somewhat expected as Mobile Computing, Cloud Computing needed such changes and Cisco has always given innovative results, as Cisco is globally number one in Internet Solutions, Telecom and Service Provider Industry, with more than 75% share. Such changes in technologies were expected from Cisco.
New changes were already needed, as Cloud Security, VoIP Security and Mobile Security were major issues, as Cloud and Mobile computing are already successfully implemented by major ISP's.
Changes, as per technologies:
Wireless Security using WLC Controller and Wireless Access Points, Mobile Security, IPV6 Security, VoIP Security and Cloud Security using ISE and WSA
Nothing new with ASA and IPS
As VoIP market is boosting up in India, security issues were already there, hence this change is: VoIP and Video Security using all new Integrated Security Services enabled G2 2900 or 3800 Series Routers
As after covering all these technologies demand of Cisco Security engineers is going to touch new heights, as they will be no more working as just Network Security engineers, but as Internet Security engineers. They will be providing VoIP security, Mobile and Cloud computing Security along with Network Security. Demand of CCIE Security engineers is going to touch amazing heights in India and overseas as well.
Engineers, who were already preparing for CCIE Security Version 3, can still give CCIE Security lab exam in Version 3 till 13th November, as CCIE Security Version 4 will be in implementation from 16th November 2012. We will launch CCIE Security Version 4 Training from September or from beginning of October 2012. We will start providing same Labs from August 2012 onwards along with all the updated Study Material and Lab workbooks.

As per Cisco CCIE Security Version 4 exam blueprint Iron port, ISE and some other small modules are added in version 3. We will be covering CCIE Security version 4 as per Cisco exam blueprints. As CCIE Security is going to be hottest Certification in Network Security domain all over, as Cisco owns more than 70% share of Internet gear virtualy. In CCIE Security Version 4.0 Exam blueprint, dynamic changes are not there in syllabus. But still adding up Web Security, Mobile Security and VoIP Security will give additional weight to New Cisco CCIE Security Certification. Students who had enrolled in CCIE security Version 3 are offered to upgrade themselves in CCIE Security Version 4.0 without any extra cost. Students coming with their lab exam booked in Bangalore or at any other location with CCIE security Version 3, are allowed to join last batch of CCIE security Version 3, as rest of the candidates will be preparing for Version 4 exam only.
